ABOUT THE GALLERY
The name, Sacred Stone, is taken from the earliest form of Mexican Art work, which originated as carving and painting on stone. The images reflected the spiritual beliefs of the Meso-american culture.The creators of the gallery are Sandra and Gilberto Silva, who originally founded La Galeria in Cancun, Mexico in the early 1980's.

MATA ORTIZ: Pottery by Juan Quezada and other villagers from Mata Ortiz,Chihuaha.
PRE-COLUMBIAN: Antiquities from Meso America including Olmec, Zapotec, Maya,
SILVERWARE: Prince Tati from Taxco silver flatware.
JEWELERY: Vintage Mexican jewelery from Taxco, Mexico
ARTE POPULAR: Terracotta figure from Michoacan, Chiapas, Mexico
WEAVINGS: Local weaving from Huichol, Maya, Zapotec.

Gallery Features
The gallery focuses on Mexican and Latin American art spanning fifty centuries. From the pre-Hispanic era through the Colonial period to the present.
